In response for an airstrike on the Iranian consulate in Damascus earlier this month, Iran has launched hundreds of drones into Israel. According to the Israeli military, all targets were being watched and they were on high alert. Following Iran's attack, Israeli War Cabinet was called by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the military headquarters in Tel Aviv. The US, meanwhile, declared that it supported Israel and would "support their defense." The Iranian envoy to the UN responded by saying that the US should keep out of the Iran-Israel dispute and threatening to take more drastic measures in reaction if Israel retaliates.
